Newly elected US President Donald Trump nominated an Indian-American woman, Dr. Seema Verma as an in charge of the health department of the Federal Agency.

Being a leading expert on country’s Medicare and health care sector, Dr Verma would be working as the Administrator at Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

On this occasion, Donald Trump informed that, Dr. Verma has experience of almost a decade as an advisor on Medicare and Medicaid policy of nation and has been guiding states to navigate complicated healthcare systems. Chairman Price and Dr. Seema Verma together would transform US healthcare system.

Dr. Verma expressed her gratitude to the President Trump and took a vow to solve nation’s healthcare issues with responsibility.

Nomination of Dr. Verma has made days after the appointment of Indian-American Nikki Haley as US envoy to United Nations (UN).
